Why India
The Indian education system is one of the largest in the world with almost
19000 institutions for higher education. India also has one of the largest youth
populations. Every year hundreds of thousands of new students enrol for higher
studies. The Indian institutes and Universities are always keen on finding out
ways to provide better quality education to this huge student population and
making their experience a more enriching one. But there are some setbacks on
the way to success.
- There is an acute shortage of quality professors in India.
- Indian professors do not show interest in short term (half year/one year) programs offered by Universities as a result student fail to get quality professors when pursuing such programs.
- Professors still tend to follow the theoretical approach, while students need practical approach.
- There is a lack of international experience in Indian professors, especially when it comes to connecting the concepts with applied knowledge in the real world situations.
On the other hand there are some first-rate Canadian professors who are looking for challenging assignments in India, wherein they can share their experiences with the Indian students and can also have the Indian experience. Indian students and parents take education very seriously; hence they will appreciate the experience and knowledge that these professors can bring to the class room. Canadian professors will also benefit from addressing and training such a student community.
